In addition, to help protect, grow, and improve our business, we use certain Shopify enhanced features that incorporate data and information obtained from your interactions with our Store, along with other merchants and with Shopify. To provide these enhanced features, Shopify may make use of personal information collected about your interactions with our store, along with other merchants, and with Shopify. We use cookies to manage your shopping cart. Cookies are small files on your computer that hold information. It allows us to recognize you and we only use cookies to remember your shopping cart contents. We do this to identify guests and account users who want to easily and readily access their shopping cart without having to reenter products at the beginning of each new page.

When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system. We gather broad demographic and geographical information about our site users, to diagnose issues with our server, and prevent hacking attempts.

We use trusted third-party services to operate our business, including:

  • Shopify (e-commerce platform)

  • Etsy (e-commerce platform)

  • RedBubble (e-commerce platform)

  • Payment processors

  • Analytics providers

  • Email marketing platforms

  • Social Media platforms (TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, etc)

These providers only receive the information necessary to perform their services and are required to protect your data in accordance with their own privacy policies. In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us. However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions. Once you leave our store’s website (www.carlandcartography.com) or are redirected to a third-party website or application (such as Etsy, Redbubble, Instagram or Facebook), you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy.


7. Email Marketing Communications

If you opt in to receive emails, we may send you updates, promotions, or announcements related to our artwork and offerings.

Our mailing list is voluntary, and consists of email updates about our products and services. We use Shopify Messaging as our email marketing platform.  Our emails are all written by us  and may contain links to other websites, coupon codes to use on our website and other news and updates about our schedule of events.

Our mailing list registration form requires new account users to provide their contact information (name and email address) so we may send promotions and new information about our products. Your information may be added to our mailing list by one of several different ways. If you have entered your details for a chance to win a print at one of our artist markets, the information you provide will be added to our mailing list. If you register for an account or make a purchase through our website, the information you provide will be added to our mailing list. Also, if you have opted-in to our mailing list through an email link, a link on our website or through our social media accounts, the information you provide will be added to our mailing list.

We typically send emails once per month with deals and coupons (not spam) and we will never, ever sell an email. In every email we send out, there is a 1-click unsubscribe button and any customer who does not wish to receive our newsletters can easily unsubscribe at any point. You may also change or modify general information previously provided for your account setup.

The dissemination of private information is not practiced at Carland Cartography and we will never buy, sell, or redistribute your information unless we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.

We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen (13) without verifiable parental consent. If it is determined that such information has been inadvertently collected, we shall immediately take the necessary steps to ensure that such information is deleted from our mailing list. 

You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in our emails or contacting us directly.
