Sketching Salem
This is a short video showing my drawing process. You can see how I start out by drawing just the major roadways and the outer shape of the geography, then I slowly go back and fill in the side streets.
When drawing, I use atlases and online maps as references. I try to draw to-scale, and I try to include as many streets as possible. However, due to the nature of my process, not every street in a city always makes it into my drawing.
