I Received my copy of "PLACE...in the making"

I received my copy of the Fall 2017 edition of "PLACE...in the making" over the weekend and I am honored and excited to be part of such a lovely project.

The theme of the publication is "A Sense of Place" and the 6x9" magazine is filled with stunning photography and thoughtful essays about places & people of New England.

I was approached by the editor of this new publication this past summer and she asked me if I would like to be included in a project about the Maker Movement in New England. She explained how the publication will be centered around the idea of location as a subject matter. Obviously, since I create abstract illustrations of maps, I think about location quite a bit and I feel that our location influences us more than we think - I believe that where we live our lives has a major impact on our values, personality and interests. So, this project was really appealing to me.

The publication itself is absolutely stunning - all of the images, text, and creative content included in this is very well organized. It is a great addition to anyone's library.
