"Porter Square" A Horizontal Giclee Print. This is an abstract map of the Porter Square neighborhood, which is right on the border of Cambridge and Somerville- showing the area centered around the Porter Square Shopping Center, which is the large triangular shape in the center of the image. The escalator at this T Stop. I mean....it feels like you're ascending into the sky! Once a very familiar stomping ground, this piece was made as away to celebrate one of my favorite neighborhoods. How many times I walked between Davis and Porter, admiring the architecture and soaking in the New England ambiance. I miss it a lot.
This piece was created using bold colors but done in a more subtle muted way. Bold black outlines are prominent as the streets are well defined. I hope this piece reminds you of home or of a place you also have a strong connection to.
